The Indian Premier League has seen high-scoring matches where teams have crossed the 250-run mark in just 20 overs. In recent years, fearless power hitting, better pitches, and fearless aggressive batting have helped teams post some big totals in the history of IPL.

1. Sunrisers Hyderabad – 287/3

SRH scored 287/3 against RCB on 15th April 2024 in Bengaluru. It is the highest ever total in the history of IPL. In this match, Travis Head scored a brilliant century, while Heinrich Klassen finished strongly to take the team to a record score.

2. Sunrisers Hyderabad – 286/6

Ishan Kishan celebrates IPL century

The second-highest total in IPL history was made by SRH only. It was against RR in Hyderabad on 23 March 2025. Ishan Kishan scored a century while playing the first match for SRH, while Travis Head also played a critical inning.

3. Sunrisers Hyderabad – 278/3

The third on the list is still SRH, as they scored 278/3 against KKR in 2025. In this match, Klassen played a brilliant knock and helped SRH to achieve 278 on the board. 

4. Sunrisers Hyderabad – 277/3

5. Kolkata Knight Riders – 272/7
