Oppo has reportedly announced that its next top model, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra, is going to be released worldwide on 21 April 2026. This will be the first instance that the company’s Ultra-series device will be offered globally at the same time, instead of being launched only in China.

In the past, those who were passionate about mobile photography have been faced with the dilemma of either carrying their professional cameras or making a compromise with the pictures taken by a smartphone. Oppo with the Find X9 Ultra intends to take up the challenge of professional-level picture taking by launching their top-tier technology right from the start to the whole world.

The Cameras: This Is the Big Deal

The biggest focus of the Find X9 Ultra is its camera system, developed in partnership with Hasselblad, a highly regarded name in professional photography..

It is still not entirely clear which sensors are going to be included in the phone but according to India News, Oppo should equip the device with a very high-resolution camera and separate portrait, telephoto zoom, and ultra-wide lenses.

The manufacturer claims their new image processing system and superior night mode will be further improved in this new model as compared to the last one. It will most probably also feature a telephoto lens of the periscope type which would allow for high-quality zoomed-in images without a major loss in sharpness.

Display, Performance, and Battery

A 6.78-inch OLED panel with a refresh rate of 144Hz is the expected feature of Find X9 Ultra’s display, which would certainly make the phone an excellent choice for gaming and media consumption.

The smartphone will be run by one of Qualcomm’s latest top-end processors from the Snapdragon 8 series capable of smoothly handling even the most intensive game, various apps running at the same time, and the editing of photos or videos in very high resolution.

The cell capacity of this phone is around 7,050mAh, which is more than most flagship smartphones on the market today. You will be able to power up the phone with the help of a 100W fast charger through cable or use a 50W wireless charger for recharging the device.

Storage, Design, Durability

The handset will come in different spec combinations from 12GB RAM with 256GB storage to 16GB RAM with 1TB storage.

Resistance of the handset to dust and water is also one of the main selling points. It is predicted that it will not only have the certificate IP68 but may also be able to withstand even higher levels of protection.

Expected Colour/ Variants

Regarding the appearance, certain leak samples point out colour choices like Velvet Sand Canyon, Earth Tundra, and Polar Glacier. Nevertheless, these colours are not yet officially confirmed, and the real colour options might be different at launch.

Availability and Expected Price

The phone may possibly be made available on major e-commerce sites such as Amazon and Flipkart, apart from Oppo’s official website and offline stores, despite the fact that the details regarding the availability have not been officially disclosed yet.

Pre-ordering is probably going to be launched soon after the world unveiling event; however, the company will verify the exact schedules at the event.

Official pricing has not yet been disclosed, but the reports indicate that Oppo Find X9 Ultra price in India will most likely start around ₹80,000, depending on the variant.

Competitor Comparison

With such premium features, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra would be competing head to head with Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and Apple’s high-end models.

Samsung is known for its amazing zooming capabilities and versatility; however, Oppo is expected to heavily focus on camera enhancements and overall performance as a result of their renewed collaboration with Hasselblad.

Why Does This Launch Matter?

This international launch by Oppo certainly signals a major statement. Previously, the Ultra line of devices was mainly in a few markets, mainly China. Now, by unveiling the Find X9 Ultra to the entire world they are also sending out a more aggressive message in the premium flagship sector.

It is certainly among the few phones that can compete with the top-notch smartphones in the world, such as the Galaxy S25 Ultra by Samsung and the latest flagship devices from Apple.

The specification on paper appears quite promising. But in the end, it will be the operating speed and the quality of snaps that will determine if the Find X9 Ultra will be one of the best camera-smartphones in 2026.
