On January 30, 2026, ICC officially unveiled the theme song for the T20 World Cup 2026 Anthem ‘Feel The Thrill. Through an X post, ICC revealed that the song is made for the biggest stage and composed, arranged, produced, and sung by the popular music artist Anirudh Ravichander.

It is the perfect amalgam of cricket’s spirit and Anirudh’s signature energetic production, making it the sonic heartbeat of the tournament. It is now available on all audio platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, JioSaavn, and others.

Anirudh is widely known for his banger songs like Jawan, Jailer, and Leo. He says: –

“Every cheer, every silence, every heartbeat connects in the same tune when it comes to cricket. It’s a feeling, an emotion. I’m glad to be associated with the Feel the Thrill campaign and official song. This is our attempt to bring the global fans together in a spirited unity above the fierce on-field rivalry that is set to unfold across the subcontinent.”

Critics Troll the T20 World Cup 2026 Anthem

Feel The Thrill has received mixed responses from the audience. Many praised the anthem with Anirudh’s style. However, critics differed in their opinions; many trolled the song, arguing that it looked more like a club track or a movie teaser.

One individual added that though the people are calling it bad now, they will be singing it after some time, as it happens with almost every Anirudh song.

“People who are calling this song bad will be vibing to it in a few days, especially during the tournament. This happens with almost every Anirudh song — first listen feels average, but after a while, it turns into a full-on banger.”

Amid all this, people also questioned the repetitive World Cup name with these tournaments.

“How many World Cups does cricket have..It’s like one ends, and then there is another one in 2 days.”

This echoes the sentiments of Sanjay Manjrekar, who ignited the debate that T20 is not the Cricket World Cup. Now the first match is just days away, and India will start the tournament as defending champions.

The Indian team will chase history as no host nation has ever lifted the trophy at home.
