After Praful’s brilliance, it was time for Sakib Hussain to shine. In his very first over, he took the wicket of the in-form Yashasvi Jaiswal just for 1 run. Jaiswal was caught out by Nitish Kumar Reddy at the deep backward point. The young pacer from Bihar then dismissed the dangerous Donovan Ferreira in the 15th over of the match, who was looking in very good form; he scored 69 runs off 44 balls.

Sakib comes from a very humble background; his father was a daily wage labourer who suffered a career-ending knee injury. To support his early life, Sakib started playing local tennis ball tournaments for small match fees. Also, his mother sold her jewellery to afford his first pair of bowling spikes.
