Sakib Hussain, debutant for the Sunrisers Hyderabad, made a dream debut against the Rajasthan Royals on April 13, 2026. Fans at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium were expecting some high scoring, but the two debutants had different plans, Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain.

After Praful’s brilliance, it was time for Sakib Hussain to shine. In his very first over, he took the wicket of the in-form Yashasvi Jaiswal just for 1 run. Jaiswal was caught out by Nitish Kumar Reddy at the deep backward point. The young pacer from Bihar then dismissed the dangerous Donovan Ferreira in the 15th over of the match, who was looking in very good form; he scored 69 runs off 44 balls.

Lastly, in his final over he dismissed Jofra Archer for 2 runs and Ravi Bishnoi for a golden duck. In his entire spell, he took 4 critical wickets and conceded only 24 runs.
