Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 launch

Royal Enfield has introduced its first electric motorcycle named Flying Flea C6, the launch has been a significant one as the brand’s decision to make electric mobility is finally after a century of producing internal combustion motorcycles. The new C6 is set at a price of ₹2.79 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai) for outright purchase and it is marketed under a separate sub-brand called “Flying Flea.” Production will be supported by Royal Enfield’s Chennai facility, with a phased rollout planned across markets.

The BaaS Option

In addition to the standard, Royal Enfield enabled the Flying Flea C6 under a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) scheme. According to this method, customers buy the motorcycle for ₹1.99 lakh (ex-showroom), and the battery pack is offered through a separate subscription. However, the full purchase price including the battery is ₹2.79 lakh (ex-showroom).

Performance & Powertrain

The Flying Flea C6 is equipped with a 3.91 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that is protected by a magnesium case that is very light and has integrated cooling fins. The battery drives a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) delivering a maximum power of 15.4 kW (about 20.65 bhp) and 60 Nm of maximum torque. Using a low-maintenance belt drive arrangement, the power is transmitted to the rear wheel.

Royal Enfield equates the Flying Flea C6’s power to that of 125, 150cc petrol motorcycles. It is the lightest motorcycle that Royal Enfield has ever manufactured, weighing only 124 kg.

Charging: Fast & Smart

The C6 is equipped with a built-in onboard charger capable of charging at different rates from 500W to 2,200W, and you can change the rate via the Royal Enfield mobile app. Getting the battery from 20% to 80% will take around 60 to 65 minutes, whereas getting it fully charged from 0% to 100% at 25°C is said to take 2 hours and 16 minutes. The bike can be charged from a usual 15A socket.

Design: Retro Roots, Modern Soul

The Flying Flea C6 is a modern interpretation of the WWII Royal Enfield WD/RE lightweight motorcycle, a vehicle that was parachuted into war zones for troop mobilisation. It is the forged aluminium girder-style front fork that truly sets the bike apart, this design having been drawn from motorcycles of the 1930s and 1940s. Initially, the C6 will be sold in two colours: Storm Black and Flea Green.

Where Can You Buy It?

According to BikeWale, booking and test ride of the electric motorcycle Flying Flea C6, will commence at the showroom at 12 PM on April 10, 2026. The bike will roll out to other cities in India in a phased manner, followed by international markets.

Pricing Context

At ₹2.79 lakh (ex-showroom), the Flying Flea C6 is placing it above Royal Enfield’s 350cc range and other select models in the lineup. Royal Enfield notes the C6 uses aluminium and magnesium extensively across its chassis and motor housing. The bike’s on-road price in Delhi, including RTO and insurance, works out to approximately ₹2,88,413.

The Flying Flea C6 was first unveiled as a concept at EICMA 2024 in Milan. Full specifications were disclosed on April 7, 2026, ahead of its India launch on April 10. Bookings and test rides are open in Bengaluru from April 10, with a phased rollout to other Indian cities and international markets to follow.
