Five-time champions Mumbai Indians have officially revealed their new jersey for the IPL 2026, introducing a fresh design while keeping the franchise’s famous blue and gold colours. In addition, the new kit shows the team’s identity, ambition, and legacy as they prepare for another competitive season in the tournament.

The biggest show of the jersey is the repeating “M” pattern across the fabric. Moreover, this design represents the core values of the team: Mindset, Momentum, and Mentality. As per the franchise, the pattern shows unity between the players and the fans, reflecting how the team’s strength grows when the entire “MI Paltan” stands together.
Despite the new pattern, the jersey still has the iconic blue and gold colour scheme that has defined the Mumbai Indians brand for years. The meaning of the deep blue colour shade shows the energetic spirit of Mumbai city, always moving, always fighting. In addition, the golden design elements show success, victory, and the rich legacy the teams have built over the years in the IPL.
The franchise revealed the jersey through a promotional video featuring some of its biggest stars, including Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah, which created excitement among fans ahead of the upcoming season.
Interestingly, the new kit still does not include five stars above the logo, even though the Mumbai Indians have already won five IPL titles. Moreover, this design decision has been noticed by fans, but the team has not officially explained the reason behind it.
The Mumbai Indians are one of the most successful teams in IPL history, and the new jersey shows both their proud history and their forward-looking mindset. In addition, with the 2026 season approaching, the franchise believes the fresh design will inspire the players and energize fans as they focus on winning a record sixth IPL title.
