Performance
Experts reveal that the main difference between the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Pro+ is in the chipset and the charging speed. Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 (4nm) chipset. It is equipped with a 6,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging support.

It also features the “IceLoop” cooling system to keep temps low during gaming.
Redmi Note 15 Pro, on the other hand, is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset. It has a 6,580mAH battery and supports 45W wired fast charging and 18W reverse charging.
Notably, both smartphones run on Xiaomi HyperOS 2 based on Android 15 software.
Camera System
Xiaomi has simplified the camera setup by removing “filler” lenses. It now focuses on a high-res main sensor. The rear camera of the Redmi Note 15 series features a 200MP Main (Samsung HPE sensor) with OIS + 8MP Ultra-wide on both models.
The front camera does have a difference: 20MP on the standard Pro and 32MP on the Pro+ model. The latter is more appealing for creators and camera lovers.
Additional features include a 4K video recording, an AI-driven “MasterPixel” engine, and 4x in-sensor lossless zoom.

Is It Worth to Upgrade?
The Redmi Note 15 series is officially available in India now, and the Pro+ model is gaining significant attention, especially for gamers, with its 100W charging and Snapdragon chip. However, the standard Pro is said to carry significant value and is cheaper, so it can be considered a good deal.
While the choice depends on users, another question arises: should the Redmi users upgrade their smartphones with this new launch? Experts suggest an upgrade is a good option for users who have Note 13 or older models. However, the one with the Redmi Note 14 series doesn’t necessarily need to upgrade.
They can consider an upgrade if they require extreme waterproofing and extended battery life. If that’s not the requirement, there’s no major difference between the two series.
