Smartphones have become a lifeline for Generation Z and Alpha, and brands are adhering to their needs, including POCO, which is set to launch its 8X Pro and 8X Pro Max this March. Here’s what to expect from this upcoming POCO series, especially around its price and specifications.
POCO X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max Launch Date
POCO is all set to launch its new lineup, including X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max, on March 17, 2026, at 20:00 GMT+8 (5:30 pm IST) in India and worldwide. Notably, there will be an online launch event, where the complete details of the lineup will be revealed.
According to the POCO team, this series focuses on providing improved performance. Also, they are using the slogan “The Next Chapter of Power”, signalling that the lineup will feature better performance and massive battery capacities.

POCO X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max Launch Price
Despite the hype around the launch of POCO X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max, many of its details are unknown at the press time, including price. However, rumors and experts’ opinions have revealed the potential pricing of this model.
Experts claim that the POCO X8 Pro Max will launch at the price of Rs. 57,000, featuring a 12 GB+256 GB variant, whereas the 12GB+512GB model could cost Rs. 62,000. There are also rumors of this model featuring 16GB + 512GB and costing nearly Rs. 62,999, but its launch in India is not confirmed.
The POCO X8 Pro with an 8 GB+256 GB configuration may launch at the price of Rs. 43,000. The higher variant, 12GB+512GB option, is expected to cost around Rs. 51,000.

Specification Expectations and More
Similar to the pricing, the specification of this lineup is uncertain, but certain leaks and expert opinion suggest that the POCO X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max are not new smartphones. Instead, they are the rebranded Redmi Turbo series phones, which were exclusively launched in China, and will now finally be launched in the Global market with POCO branding.

One thing that’s clear is that both the X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max will come in black, white, and green colour options. Moreover, both will have a metal frame and dual rear cameras.
The POCO X8 Pro, which is said to be the rebranded Redmi Turbo 5, is tipped to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset. Also, it will have a crisp 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
Talking of the camera, it will likely bring a 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor and a 20MP front-facing camera for selfies. The biggest highlight will be its 7,560mAh battery with 100W fast charging support.
The POCO X8 Pro Max or the Redmi Turbo 5 Max will have a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED panel and high processing power with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s. The camera will feature a 50MP Light Hunter 600 main lens, which is a significant boost. However, the selfie camera will carry the same 20MP sensor from the Pro model.

About the battery, there will be a version where the global-bound X8 Pro Max packs a large 8,500mAh battery, but the one coming to India will get a 9,000mAh battery with 100W charging support.
