Manish Malhotra’s Mother Garima Malhotra Passes Away at 94

Fashion designer Manish Malhotra has lost his beloved mother, Garima Malhotra. She passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at the age of 94.

His team also shared a statement expressing gratitude for a life beautifully lived and remembering her as someone who leaves behind cherished memories and a lasting legacy for her family.

Garima Malhotra was very close to her son. Over the years, Manish Malhotra often spoke about how vital she was in his life and how she stood by him during his professional and personal life ups and downs. 

According to the Republic World, recalling his mother, he had written that she was his strength, inspiration, and companion. He also wrote ” My mother is my strength, inspiration, and my companion as I have always lived with her with only respect and love. This morning, having tea with her, I was thanking her for always encouraging my love for clothes and movies since childhood. Happy Mother’s Day.”

As per the reports, the funeral of Garima Malhotra is scheduled for Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Hindu Crematorium in Santa Cruz, West Mumbai. 

Last year, he celebrated his mother’s birthday at his residence. He also shared a post from the celebration and wrote, “Happy birthday, Mommy dearest…”

Bollywood Stars Who Reached Out to Offer Condolences

Karisma Kapoor was the first to reach Manish Malhotra’s residence to express condolences. She spent time with the family, providing comfort and support during their tough time.

Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani also visited Manish Malhotra’s home to pay tribute. They both shared warm words with the designer and provided the support that they needed the most during their tough times.

Various other film and fashion industry members visited to pay their late respects. The list includes Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, and filmmaker Zoya Akhtar.
