WPL 2026 Begins Today

The fourth edition of the WPL (women’s premiere league) 2026 officially start today, 9th January 2026. This season is going to be most competitive, following the mega-auction of November that reshuffled the team squads and introduced new leadership across the franchises. The opening match of WPL 2026 will be between the defending champions Mumbai Indians and the winners of WPL 2024 Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

The famous DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai will host the blockbuster opening clash. The cultrual spectacle is scheduled to commence at 6:30 PM IST, while the game is scheduled to start at 7:30 PM IST. The WPL tournament will feature five teams – Mumbai Indians (MI), Delhi Capitals (DC), UP Warriorz (UPW), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), and Gujarat Giants (GG), playing total of 22 matches across the two venues.

WPL (Women’s Premier League) 2026 Full Schedule and Match List

The Women’s Premier League 2026 kicks off on Thursday, January 9, with all opening matches at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium. The tournament runs through February 5, when the final will be played at Vadodara’s BCA Stadium.

Five teams will compete across 24 matches in total, 22 league games plus the Eliminator and Final. The tournament is split into two legs: the first 11 matches will be held at DY Patil Stadium (January 9-17), while the remaining 11 league fixtures and both playoff matches shift to BCA Stadium in Vadodara.
