The Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) has announced a huge cash prize of ₹131 crore for Team India after successfully defending their title and winning against New Zealand in the final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.

In addition, the announcement was made on 10 March 2026 through the BCCI.tv to honour the team’s wonderful performance in the tournament.
Team India has secured the title of T20 World Cup 2026 by defeating New Zealand in the final at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 8 March 2026. While batting first, Team India has scored massive runs, 255/5. On the other hand, New Zealand were all out for 159, giving India a 96-run victory.

Team India has become the first team to have three ICC men’s T20 World Cup titles. Moreover, the BCCI mentioned that the financial reward is a token of appreciation for the player’s dedication and the role played by the complete supporting staff in attaining the prestigious title.
