Harshit Rana went for surgery on February 9, but will not be able to recover in time to play for KKR in the Indian Premier League 2026. In addition, Harshit Rana played a critical role for KKR in IPL 2024 by taking 19 wickets and helping KKR win their third title.
It also helped in becoming a regular feature for India across formats. Moreover, he was retained by the franchise for Rs 4 crore in the IPL 2025 edition, and he picked 15 wickets in the 13 games he played.
However, KKR is yet to decide on a replacement for the all-rounder, and expect players such as Akash Deep, Umran Malik, Kartik Tyagi, and Vaibhav Arora to make the most of the chances that come their way.

In addition, there is no clarity on Matheesha Pathirana’s participation, as he injured himself during the T20 World Cup and is currently recovering.
