Bajaj Chetak C25 Officially Debuts
The popular Indian multinational automotive company, Bajaj Auto, has officially launched the C2501, the most affordable version of the electric scooter. The Bajaj Chetak C25 was officially launched in India on 14 January 2026 and aims to make electric scooters accessible and affordable for people.
Notably, the country is seeing wide adoption of electric vehicles. As a result, several two-wheeler manufacturers, including Ola, TVS, and others, have added electric vehicles. Bajaj Auto is going on the same path, with the new C25 priced below ₹1 lakh.

Bajaj Chetak C25 Price and Performance
Baja Chetak C25 is launched at a price of ₹91,399 (ex-showroom) and is built to ensure day-to-day ease. Launch details reveal that this electric scooter is quick to change directions and offers predictable handling on rough roads.
Its rear wheel hub motor propels the scoots, pushing it to a top speed of 55kmph. A 2.5 kWh NMC battery generates the power, which is mounted in the floorboard, keeping the mass central and low.
C25 Features
- Battery and Charging
Bajaj Chetak C25 has a 2.5 kWh NMC (Lithium Nickel Manganese Cobalt) battery pack. The battery is smaller compared to the higher 30 and 35 series. The battery pack pushes the C25 to top up 0-80% in just 2.25 hours.
On a single charge, it promises 113km range and is capable of a top speed of 55kmph.
- Design
The new Chetak C25 differs significantly from its other siblings in terms of design. The makers have kept the design minimal but meaningful.
Its LED headlamp provides it with a distinguished look, with sequential blinkers repositioned to the cowling alongside the headlamp. On the rear side, the C25 features a new ‘Ice Cube’ single-unit LED light strip.

Notably, it is available in four color options: Cyan, Red, Black, and White.
