He made his first-class debut for Mumbai in the Irani Cup 2024. He played a massive knock against Maharashtra in the Ranji Trophy, opening with Prithvi Shaw. Also, in his first 9 first-class matches, he has scored 504 runs with 2 centuries and 1 half-century. 

Talking about List A cricket, he has scored 458 runs in 7 matches with two centuries and 1 fifty. The turning point of his life was when he went unsold in the IPL 2025, and the Chennai Super Kings picked him as a replacement for Ruturaj Gaikwad, due to his injury. He became the youngest player to score 150+ in the men’s List A cricket. Before him, Yashasvi Jaiswal created the record at the age of 17 years and 291 days. 

He played for India in the 2024 ACC U19 Asia Cup and scored 175 runs with an average of 58.33 and a strike rate of 143.33 in just 4 games.

In his Ranji Trophy debut, he scored 52 runs in 71 balls against Baroda. After his brilliant performance, he got the chance to play for CSK as a replacement for Ruturaj Gaikwad because of an injury at a base price of Rs 30 Lakh. He made his debut on 20 April, 2025 against MI and scored a quick 32 runs in just 15 balls and became the youngest player to play for CSK.
