OnePlus Nord 6 shown in black, silver and green colour options ahead of India launch

OnePlus is coming up with one of the biggest battery-equipped smartphones, the OnePlus Nord 6, this April. The brand has already confirmed the details around the launch, along with disclosing that it’s focused on performance and endurance upgrades. Here is all we know about it.  

OnePlus Nord 6 Launch Details and Availability

After many teasers, OnePlus is all set to launch the Nord 6 in India on April 7 at 7 pm IST. The official press release reveals that the phone will be available on the official OnePlus channels and also on Amazon. 

The OnePlus Nord 6 5G is the successor to the OnePlus Nord 5, with a new design, specifications, and a higher price.

Expected Price Range for OnePlus Nord 6

The brand has not officially revealed the price range for the OnePlus Nord 6, but it is expected to launch in the Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 40,000 segment. Clear price details will be revealed with the launch on April 7, 2026.

Design, Display, and Colour Options

According to the Gadgets360 report, the OnePlus Nord 6 will have a flat frame with straight edges. There will be a flat back panel, with a slightly raised rectangular camera module at the top left housing, featuring three large circular lenses, a smaller sensor, and an LED flash unit. 

Talking of the display, it will be a 1.5K AMOLED “Sunburst HDR” display with a 165Hz refresh rate. Along with that, it will have a peak brightness of up to 3,600 nits and a minimum brightness of 2 nits. There are also reports on the screen supporting 3,840Hz PWM dimming and Aqua Touch 2.0 for better touch response with wet fingers.

It will be sold in Fresh Mint, Holographic Quick Silver, and Pitch Black colourways. The silver variant features a holographic border along the edges. The centre is said to be more muted with a subtle texture, creating a framed look. The green and black variants vary significantly, as they are seen in matte finishes.

Performance and Processor

OnePlus Nord 6 will be powered by a 4nm octa-core Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. It is paired with an Adreno 835 GPU. The company claims that this smartphone will have up to 136% higher CPU performance, 64% higher GPU performance, and 25% better AI performance, with an AnTuTu “test condition” score of 2,503,854.

An interesting update is that the smartphone will deliver sustained 165fps in popular titles like Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), Call of Duty Mobile, and Free Fire Max. There’s also a Touch Reflex Chip (with a 3,200Hz touch sampling rate), a 6-axis gyroscope (with ±4000dps sensitivity), and a Spatial Audio Booster. 

Speaking of connectivity, the options include a G2 Wi-Fi chip and support for 5G Advanced. On the supported network, 5G would work up to 3 times faster peak speeds.

Battery and Charging

One of the selling points for this OnePlus smartphone is its 9,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 15 percent silicon content. It is reported to run for 2.5 days of moderate use, 29.6 hours of YouTube streaming, 16.6 hours of Google Maps navigation, and 6.3 hours of 4K video recording at 60fps, according to the company. 

The handset supports 80W SUPERVOOC charging, and reportedly completes a full charge in just about 70 minutes. It supports bypass charging and 27W wired reverse charging.
