Royal Challengers Bengaluru have started preparations for the 2026 season of the Indian Premier League 2026 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Various top Indian stars, led by Virat Kohli, are doing their practice, while bowler Yash Dayal remains absent.
As per reports, he was not spotted with the group on their first day of the camp on March 18 and continues to be missing in action.

Rajat Patidar, Jitesh Sharma, Krunal Pandya and Bhuvneshwar kumar are the names that are preparing for the title defence under the coaching staff led by Andy Flower, but Dayal’s absence has already caught the attention of fans.
Moreover, there are pictures of RCB’s team bus circulating on social media, and Dayal is not visible in those either.

In a video uploaded by his wife Shweta Pundir, he can be seen receiving throwdowns from a side arm specialist, but he seems far away from the action in Bengaluru.
Yash Dayal was last seen in June 2025 in the final against the Punjab Kings. The franchise retained the cricketer for Rs 5 Cr for IPL 2026 and got significant backlash because of the legal case against him at that time.
According to reports, due to this case issue, Uttar Pradesh did not consider him for the entire domestic season.
Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association last tried to check with the bowler in September, but unfortunately, couldn’t make contact with him.
As per the Times of India, a UPCA official tells them, “The case was going one against him, so he wasn’t considered for selection. I remembered there was a call from CoE checking on him in September, but we were not able to establish any contact with Yash Dayal. He has changed his number. Even his childhood coach doesn’t know his whereabouts.”

What legal case was against Yash Dayal?
As per the hindu.com, in 2025, Yash Dayal faced charges of sexual exploitation from a woman in Ghaziabad who said that Dayal abused her and promised her marriage during a five-year relationship.
The case was filed in Jaipur. Later, the police launched investigations in both cases.
As per News18, the woman claimed that Yash introduced her to his family and behaved as though they were a married couple, further deepening trust.
Also, the complaint said that Yash took money from the woman during their relationship and has behaved with other women in the past in a similar manner.
