Kia India has introduced the new updated Carens Clavis lineup for MY 2026. Notably, the brand has brought significant changes to both the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and Electric Vehicle (EV) models, where the focus remained not only on styling, but also on comfort and high-tech options. Kia Introduced New Trims to the Carens Clavis Range

Kia India has introduced GT-Line and X-Line versions in the Carens Clavis range, including GTX and GTX+ trims. These updates would equip the lineup with more SUV-like aesthetics, demanded by buyers.
Additionally, there’s a chance for buyers to now get the 6-seater layout with second-row captain seats. The old 7-seater configuration will still exist.
GT-Line (GTX & GTX+ Trims)
Kia has added the GT-Line to the GTX and GTX+ trims, introducing fresh design and build upgrades. The GT Line is designed for a sportier appeal, as it features revised bumpers, gloss black roof rails, and ORVMs. In addition, there’s a new side garnish and alloy wheels, lime-coloured brake calipers, and metal pedals.
Speaking of the interiors, there’s an all-black cabin with subtle white accents in EV and metal pedals in the ICE.

X-Line Trim
The X-Line variant, on the other hand, has a more rugged design, featuring a darker theme. It is styled with the blacked-out “Crystal Cut” alloy wheels and a dark-themed interior with Hunter Green accents. Not only that, the buyers will see exclusive colors like signature Dark Gun Metal matte finish and Aurora Black Pearl.
EV models will get a dual panoramic sunroof and over 85 connected car features. Additionally, it’s equipped with a 10.25-inch (or 26.03 cm) dual panoramic display, Digital Key Battery heater technology, and more.
Speaking of safety, there are six airbags, Hill Start Assist, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and more.
Kia Carens Clavis EV

Kia has introduced the first major “Model Year” update for the EV version since its launch. The updates primarily focus on flexibility and range, introducing GTX, GTX Plus, and X-Line variants. All these are available in both 6- and 7-seater layouts, but they will feature a bigger battery pack only.
Range & Battery: Standard Range: 42 kWh battery | 404 km (MIDC) | 134 hp.
Extended Range (ER): 51.4 kWh battery | 490 km (MIDC) | 170 hp.
Charging: 10% to 80% in 39 minutes via a 100kW DC fast charger.
Pricing: Starts at ₹17.99 lakh (HTK+) and goes up to ₹24.99 lakh (X-Line ER).

While this remains the focus point, the HTX E, HTX, and HTX Plus variants of the Carens Clavis EV, which were only offered in a 7-seater layout earlier, are now also available with a 6-seater layout. These are now equipped with captain seats in the 2nd row. Notably, there’s no price difference between the 6-seater and the 7-seater.
Kia Carens Clavis ICE: Key Updates
Kia has taken a bold step this year, moving the high-end feature down to mid-spec variants for the petrol and diesel versions. This includes the HTK+ variant receiving a standard electric sunroof, the HTK+(O) gaining a Dual-Pane Panoramic Sunroof, which was once only available to the most expensive trims.
Also, the brand has introduced a new HTX(O)A variant, which is being appreciated as it brings Level 2 ADAS (with 20+ features like Forward Collision Avoidance) to a sub-₹20 lakh price point.
Pricing: Starts from ₹11.20 lakh (HTE Petrol) to ₹21.57 lakh (X-Line Turbo-Petrol DCT).
