BMW India has launched the new M2 CS in the country. It is only available in limited numbers and will be sold as a completely Built-up Unit. It is also marked as the most performance version of the M2. It comes with higher power output, reduced weight, and track-oriented upgrades.

Price of New BMW M2 CS in India
BMW India has introduced the M2 CS, the most potent version of its compact performance coupe, priced at Rs 1.66 Cr (Ex-showroom). The model offers 530hp and 650 Nm from a 3.0-litre twin turbo inline-six, enabling a 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 302 km/h with the M Driver’s package.
This is the first time the CS badge has been officially provided on the M2 in India.
Lightweight Body and Improved Performance
The M2 CS sheds around 30kg compared to the standard M2, thanks to extensive use of carbon fibre, which is reinforced by plastic for the roof, boot lid, rear diffuser, interior components, and mirror caps. The car comes with Optional M carbon ceramic brakes and standard M compound brakes that improve stopping power.
While the car’s Nürburgring lap time of 7:25.5 tells its track credentials. Also, the car’s suspension is lowered by 8mm, with recalibrated springs, dampers, and control system to enhance agility.
Design and Interior Features

As per BMW, the weight-optimised, heated M carbon bucket seats with a wide range of electrically controlled settings feature an illuminated “CS” logo. Moreover, it comes with a flat-bottomed rim, gearshift paddles, a red centre marker, and two M buttons. The three-spoke M Alcantara steering wheel offers authentic racing flair to the cockpit.
Inside the M2 comes a sporty cabin with extensive use of lightweight materials. It comes with the BMW operating system 8.5 and a head-up display. The Harman Kardon music system makes the interior climate smoother.
The car also provides advanced driving technologies like various modes, including track mode, 10-stage M traction control, M Drift analyser, and lap timer.

Stylish Gold Bronze Alloy Wheels that give it a Premium Sporty Look
The forged M light alloy wheel in matt gold bronze features an amazing design. Measuring 20 inches at the rear and 19 inches in diameter at the front axle. The wheels are adjusted as standard with track tyres (275/35 ZR19 at the front, 285/30 ZR20 at the rear).
However, there are options available to request standard sports types or ultra-track tyres.
Black M specific Exhaust System
An emotionally rich engine note is conjured by the M-specific exhaust system with electrically controlled flaps and four exhaust pipes typical of M, which comes in matt black on the BMW M2 CS.
Colour Options Available
The BMW M2 CS can be ordered with a paint finish in Sapphire black metallic, M Brooklyn Grey metallic, M Portimao Blue metallic, or BMW Individual Velvet Blue metallic.
Where the M2 CS Stands in BMW’s Lineup
The CS badge, standing for competition sport, places the M2 CS between hardcore CSL variants and standard M cars. It offers a blend of road usability and track readiness. It comes with 50hp more than the standard M2 and specs matching those of the M4 competition.
