One of the most anticipated matches of the tournament would be Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals. The two sides are ready to face each other in Guwahati on March 30.
It is the most anticipated game as Sanju Samson, who had played with the Royals for various years, has now been traded to the Chennai Super Kings in exchange for Ravindra Jadeja.

Star Indian batsman Sanju Samson is all set to represent Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League 2026. Before the start of the tournament, Samson talked about his exit from the Rajasthan Royals.
“It’s a situation that hasn’t happened yet. This is the first time I’m going to play against RR after playing (for them) in the IPL. I don’t really think about the emotions once I step onto the ground. The game will definitely dictate it. But even before the match and even after the match, when I play with the old team, there are a lot of players who we played with when we were young. There are a lot of management and support staff. Everyone is there. They definitely have love and respect. But as I said earlier, everyone has their own time. My time was with RR. I went forward because I thought it was over. So when I go forward, there is a bit of excitement. It’s a new journey. Even if I play against RR, I want to play with a lot of happiness,” Samson said.
Ravindra Jadeja will feature for RR against CSK
Apart from Sanju Samson, it would be the same scenario for the veteran Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. However, he made his debut for the Rajasthan Royals in the inaugural season of the tournament.
Also, he played for Chennai Super Kings for many years and left the franchise when traded for Sanju Samson.

Sanju Samson Talks on Sharing Dressing Room with MS. Dhoni
Sanju Samson has shown his excitement about finally sharing a dressing room with legendary cricketer MS Dhoni in the upcoming Indian Premier League 2026 edition. He said that this will be the first time that they will play together in the same team.
“I have spoken to Mahi bhai many times over the phone and seen him around during Indian team camps, but this will be the first time I’ll actually play alongside him in a team, so the excitement is very high,” Samson said.

He believes spending time with Dhoni for a full season will be a great learning experience. ” Whether he calls or we meet, there is always something positive to take away. But being with him in a team for two months and seeing first-hand how he approaches cricket prepares me for games will be a huge benefit for me. I’m really happy and see it as a big opportunity to learn from him.”
