Team India has secured their third ICC T20 World Cup title and defended the crown successfully. As per reports, the International Cricket Council has confirmed the final distribution of the tournament’s prize money.

A total of US$11.25 million in players’ prize money will be distributed among the 20 participating nations, in line with the record-breaking increase of ICC prize money announced in 2024.

According to the reports, Team India earned the highest share, around INR 21.91 crore ($2,639,423), from the overall prize pool. The second-highest prize pool belongs to runners-up New Zealand, which is 11.81 crore ($1,422,692).

Both the semi-finalist teams, South Africa and England, have received INR 8.35 crore ($1,005,577) and INR 8.09 crore ($974,423), respectively.

In addition, other teams that entered the Super 8 include West Indies, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, and Sri Lanka, which earned INR 4.47 crore ($538,269), INR 4.34 crore ($522,692), INR 4.08 crore ($491,538), and INR 3.95 crore ($475,920), respectively.Zimbabwe has earned a good prize pool after their brilliant victory against Australia in the group stage.

Various other teams have also earned a good amount but couldn’t make it to the top 8. According to the reports, Afghanistan, Australia, and the USA earned 2.57 INR crore ($309,808). 

Australia were amongst the most dangerous sides before the T20 World Cup 2026, but unfortunately, they didn’t even qualify for the Super 8.

Also, Scotland and Ireland took around INR 2.31 crore ($278,654) and INR 2.26 crore ($271,731), respectively.

Italy, the Netherlands, the UAE, and Nepal earned INR 2.13 crore ($256,154), finishing in the tournament stage. Canada, Namibia, and Oman took home INR 1.87 crore ($225,000) each.
