As per reports, fans were continuously talking about Dhoni’s availability and were saying that he might play all the matches of IPL 2026 because of his age(44). Now, CEP himself confirmed and said, ” He will play all the matches, according to me.”
The CSK CEO was also asked about his role in the team because now they have another keeper-batsman, Sanju Samson. He replied, ” That I cannot say. That is a cricketing decision which will be taken by the cricketing staff, not by the administrative staff. So they will decide whether he is going to play as a batsman, as a wicketkeeper-batter, or as an impact player.”
In addition, he has also spoken about the T20 World Cup and expressed pride in the franchise’s players Shivam Dube and Sanju Samson, and said, ” We are very happy that India has won the T20 world cup, that too they won it back-to-back. We are delighted because the two CSK players, Sanju and Shivam Dube, have performed extremely well.”
