India’s young opener Abhishek Sharma has defended the No.1 spot in the latest international ranking of T20I. He was not that good throughout the T20 World Cup 2026, but he still managed to remain in the top spot.

The latest ranking came after the victory of Team India against New Zealand at Narendra Modi Stadium on 8 March, 2026. Abhishek Sharma has struggled earlier in the campaign with three back-to-back ducks, but delivered the best performance when needed the most. He scored a half-century in just 18 balls in the final against New Zealand.

His current ranking points are 875. On the other hand, his teammate Ishan Kishan has climbed the spot and secured second position on the list. He scored 317 runs in the T20 World Cup 2026. Now Ishan Kishan is at 871 points.
